Huawei P30 Pro Android 10 Upgrade
Now that Android 10 is here, several brands of smartphones are announcing the road maps for their phones, and it seems that the Huawei P30 Pro could be the next device to get the update.
That's according to a banner at the annual IFA 2019 technology event, discovered by Roland Quandt. showing the P30 Pro, with the words "The new Huawei P30 Pro with Android 10". It's a pretty unequivocal message, really.
What we do not know is when the Huawei P30 Pro will come Android 10, because it certainly cannot download the update at this time, so "with Android 10" is a bit misleading. On top of that, it is not clear what this means for the Huawei P30 base: presumably, the new Android operating system will be available on the two newest Huawei phones at the same time, but that is not a fact.
TechRadar has asked Huawei about these two things and will update this article when we find out.
The availability of Android 10 is equally doubtful for the next Huawei Mate 30, as the phone could not use Google applications. That does not necessarily mean that the device does not have Android itself (Android is made by Google), but it is very unlikely, and instead, Huawei will probably use its new and relatively unproven HarmonyOS.
There are also two new Huawei P30 Pro colors available soon: Misty Lavender (pink) and Mystic Blue (blue). Both are shown on the banner.
Huawei is exhibiting at IFA 2019, so we could hear more about the P30 Pro, Mate 30 and the next Mate X folding shortly. TechRadar is available to report on the latest technology news as they happen.
