Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced tariff plans for the JioFiber domestic broadband service in India. The base plan starts from Rs 699 and offers 100GB data with speeds of up to 100Mbps. With the commercial launch of the JioFiber service, Reliance Jio also celebrates its third anniversary.

The telecommunications operator has a subscriber base of over 340 million customers throughout India and has been able to achieve this in a very short duration of its existence.

Reliance JioFiber is a fiber-to-home service that has been in beta testing since 2018 in 0.5 million homes in different cities in India. Meanwhile, the hype around JioFiber has become bigger as more than 15 million people have registered for broadband service from 1,600 cities.

RIL has announced that subscription plans for its home broadband service start at Rs 699 for the Bronze plan with data from 100GB to 100Mbps. There are a total of six rate plans for JioFiber and we are breaking down each of them for you.

JioFiber monthly prepaid plans will offer high-speed data, unlimited voice calls, TV video calls, games, home networks, Norton device security, Jio Holoboard VR experiences, First Day-First Show movies and special sports content.

JioFiber Bronze Plan: ₹ 699

1. This plan offers speeds of up to 100Mbps with 100GB + 50GB of additional data as an introductory offer for 6 months.

2. It comes with unlimited voice calls, TV video calling service, games, home networks and device security.

3. What is missing in this plan is VR and premium content.

JioFiber Silver Plan: ₹ 849

1. This plan comes with 200 GB of monthly data + 200 GB of additional data for six months.

2. Everything else, including speeds and services, is the same as the Bronze plan.

JioFiber Gold Plan: ₹ 1,299

1. The Gold plan offers speeds of up to 250 Mbps and comes with 500 GB data plus additional 250 GB data.

2. The rest of the services remain the same as the Bronze and Silver plans.

JioFiber Diamond Plan: ₹ 2,499

1. This is a JioFiber Premium plan and comes with 1.25TB data and 250GB of additional data for six months.

2. Offers broadband speeds of up to 500 Mbps.

3. All other services remain the same as the Bronze, Silver and Gold plans with the addition of virtual reality experience and Premium content in the form of First Day-First Show movies.

JioFiber Platinum Plan: ₹ 3,999

1. Another Premium plan comes with 2.5TB data and speeds of up to 1Gbps. There is no additional data with this plan.

2. Any other service remains the same as the Diamond plan.

JioFiber titanium plan: ₹ 8,499

1. The latest JioFiber plan comes with 5 TB data and speeds of up to 1 Gbps.

2. All other services, such as games and First Day-First Show, remain the same as the Diamond and Platinum plans.

As JioFiber is a combination of super fast Internet, TV and landline services, it comes with a 4K decoder that can receive transmission signals from local cable operators such as Den and Hathway. In addition, Reliance has also announced that calls from Jio FixedLine numbers will be free forever.

What happens to Preview customers?

Jio has stated that customers using the JioFiber Preview Offer will be migrated to paid plans. Company executives have the task of handling this transition and will contact the users of Preview.

Meanwhile, JioFiber Preview users can continue to use the fixed and broadband service as they did before.

Welcome offer from Reliance JioFiber with free TV

According to JioFiber's welcome offer, customers who subscribe to Jio Forever's annual plans will get a free TV or a domestic gateway along with a 4K decoder. In addition, Jio Forever's annual plans will come with subscriptions to OTT applications.

Jio Forever's annual plans start from Rs 1,299 for the Gold plan followed by the Diamond, Platinum and Titanium plans.

Reliance JioFiber cities

The company has revealed that its JioFiber services will be implemented in different cities of India gradually. Therefore, it may take a while until JioFiber arrives at your location or RWA society.
