CEO Pete Lau visited Twitter to share this image of the OnePlus TV remote

OnePlus does not seek to curb its barrage of teasers for the next OnePlus TV. Today's hype-builder comes in the form of this photo shared by the CEO that shows us what the remote control will look like.

OnePlus TV will be the company's first unrelated smartphone product and is expected to be presented in India in the coming weeks, and will be followed by a global launch. As always, the company has begun to increase publicity around the next release by slowly sharing pieces of information about it.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau visited Twitter to share this image of the OnePlus TV remote. No additional details were shared, but having a closer look does give some interesting nuggets.

The OnePlus TV remote control looks pretty minimalist, made of polished aluminum. It has only a couple of buttons, including normal Android navigation keys, a Google Assistant button for voice commands and another key with only the OnePlus logo. There is no information on what it will be for.

Above, there is a four-way navigation / D-pad panel that should be to move through the user interface. There is a last blank button at the bottom that is probably a customizable key of some kind. Volume control is on the right side, as are smartphones. There also appears to be a USB Type-C port on the bottom of the OnePlus TV remote control to handle the charge.

The remote control looks very similar to the Apple TV Siri remote control and other smart appliances, but hopefully it will work better. OnePlus TV will run a customized version of Google's Android TV operating system and offer features such as built-in Chromecast, voice controls, Google Assistant, etc., along with some kind of integration with OnePlus smartphones.

Current rumors point to a September 26 release of OnePlus TV, along with the OnePlus 7T series. As for the current trend, we can expect the company to share some more specifications around both in this accumulation phase.
