South Korean smartphone maker Samsung's first foldable smartphone Galaxy Fold's cell may not have started yet, but according to reports, Samsung is working on another foldable smartphone. Bloomberg reports that Samsung may launch its second foldable device early next year. It is believed that the company's second luxury foldable smartphone may fold in a compact square size. It is also being said that the launch of another foldable device will depend on how Galaxy Fold will perform in the market.
According to people associated with product development, this Samsung device has a 6.7-inch display inside, which folds inward like a CP to become a square-shaped phone. Amidst the talk of price rise of Galaxy Fold, it is believed that the company is planning to launch it at an affordable
price. Also, the thickness of this device will be less than the Galaxy Fold, it has been revealed. The key advantage associated with this device is that despite having a large screen of 6.7 inches, it will be the same size as normal smartphones and Android phone apps can be used in the native state.
Can give ultra-thin glass
The Galaxy Fold phone opens with an almost square aspect ratio and large screen, due to which the app needs to be customized to use its full dimensions. This will not have to be done in the new device and without any customization the apps can be used on the whole screen. Samsung is testing using ultra-thin glass (UTG) in the next foldable smartphone, which will be only 3 percent thicker than the protective glass on smartphones. Along with this, the company would also like to make some changes on the strength of the foldable devices, so that the launch issues in the review units of Galaxy Fold can be avoided earlier.
