Xiaomi devices received certification from the China Mandatory Certificate (3C)

Two new Xiaomi devices received certification from the China Mandatory Certificate (3C) site. It was reported that the two phones are part of the next Xiaomi Redmi 8 series. Now, Redmi 8 and Redmi 8A have allegedly been seen on the Thailand NBTC certification website, suggesting an imminent launch. According to the list, the Redmi 8 has the model number M1908C3IG, while the Redmi 8A comes with the model number M1908C3KG.

The list reveals nothing about the two Redmi phones, but suggests that its launch is imminent. In addition, recently, live images of the alleged Redmi 8A smartphone appeared online. The phone is likely to have an edge-to-edge display with a waterdrop-style notch, reports 91Mobiles. The filtered photos suggest that the phone will include a massive 5,000 mAh battery under the hood. Xiaomi could also offer a low-end Snapdragon 439 SoC with the Redmi 8A. This is the same chipset that currently powers the Redmi 7A phone.

The Redmi 8A could include a 6.2-inch screen with HD + resolution. The phone is expected to ship with MIUI 9.7.11 software based on Android Pie. According to reports, the phone will be released with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage option. Xiaomi is likely to offer an option to expand the internal storage of the device. Rumors suggest that users can expand storage up to 512 GB with a microSD card slot.
The images also showed the supposed Redmi 8A phone in red. Xiaomi is also expected to offer the new Redmi smartphone option in black. The phone will arrive with a dual rear camera configuration, depending on leaks. It is also likely to come with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back. In addition, for the moment, details about the Redmi 8 are scarce. In addition, Xiaomi is ready to launch its Mi Band 4 in India on September 17.
