Much to expect from Apple September event 2019
The technology giant hosts the media on its California campus at about this time each year to announce its next range of smartphones, and the 2019 event will take place in the shadow of recent security and privacy scandals.
Apple recently made changes to its voice assistant Siri following the claims of a former worker that "regularly" listened to confidential meetings, and had to address a Google investigation that suggested that hackers had been using malicious software to collect photos and iPhones contacts.
The firm will expect more positive headlines about its product display on September 10, and Sky News has taken a look at what it seems to announce.
According to a report, two new iPhone phones that will be presented at the Steve Jobs Theater will be presented as "professional" MacBook-style models with enhanced facial recognition and an improved triple lens camera.
Bloomberg says the devices will replace the existing iPhone XS and XS Max, while a third smartphone will be a more wallet-friendly tracking of the XR.
Enhanced facial recognition will come through a multi-angle version of the Face ID sensor, which means you can recognize users while the phone is on a table.
