Redmi K20 Pro already receives Android 10 updates
Android 10 is here. Google finally releases Android 10 update after a long wait. The latest Android software comes for Pixel devices, followed by some compatible phones from other manufacturers such as OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7, Essential Phone. We expected to see the name of these smartphones in the list but the name we did not find in the list was Redmi K20 Pro. Yes, the latest Redmi phone is getting Android 10 update on the very first day of the software rollout, some reports say.
The Redmi K20 Pro received the Android 10 update soon after Google officially released it for Pixels and other compatible phones. This is great. Notably, Xiaomi has not yet officially talked about the Android 10 update for the Redmi K20 Pro. However, some media reports suggest that the Android 10 update comes to India and China users of the Redmi K20 Pro. However, other reports suggest that so far only Chinese variants of Redmi K20 Pro get Android 10 update. We India Today Tech checked for Android 10 update on its Redmi K20 Pro, but sadly we have not received the update yet.
With the arrival of Android 10, Redmi K20 Pro will get an upgrade to many new features such as Dark Mode, Smart Reply, Live Caption, Sound Amplifier, New Gesture Navigation, Some Privacy Controls, Location Control, Security Update, Focus Mode and Family Link.
As reported earlier this week, Xiaomi India is looking for people to participate in the Android 10 beta testing program. Xiaomi has announced that selected users will have access to Android 10 beta on their Redmi K20 Pro. Xiaomi is asking interested users to fill out a Google form and enter details such as - Mi community profile link, Mi community id, Telegram app username, and more. Click here to fill in the Google Form to participate in the Redmi K20 Pro Android 10 beta program.
The registration process continues and will continue till 8 September. The company has revealed that all users selected for the beta testing program will receive special Android 10 OTA updates, special groups known as 'Android 10 testers', and more. We expect the Android 10 update to come soon in the Redmi K20 Pro.
To recall, the Redmi K20 Pro was launched a month ago in India at a price of Rs 27,999. The smartphone comes with MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. Unlike other Redmi phones, the Redmi K20 series comes with very few advertisements.
