Soon Xiaomi will let you manually disable MIUI Ads on your smartphone
Xaomi custom OS MIUI comes with several useful features. But there is one thing about MIUI that most people hate. They are the unwanted / annoying ads that come along with MIUI. A couple of months ago, some Xiaomi executives said that the next version of MIUI, also known as MIUI 11, will show only minimal and related announcements. Now, the Xiaomi Product Manager, MIUI Experience Head, has confirmed that Xiaomi will introduce the option to change Ads in the next MIUI so that users can deactivate the Ads when necessary.
A few months ago, some Xiaomi executives reported that the company is working to optimize and monitor ads in MIUI. At that time, there were some reports that said Xiaomi will remove the ads completely from MIUI. Later, the company denied these reports and confirmed that it is not happening and that Ads will also remain in future versions of MIUI. The company has confirmed that ads will be limited in the next version of MIUI OS.
Xiaomi had previously reported that future versions of MIUI will only show related ads based on user experience. This means that future versions of MIUI will not show ads that do not interest the user.
The Xiaomi Product Manager, MIUI Experience Head, has confirmed that the next MIUI Ads exchange feature is in process and will be available on all compatible devices in the near future. Xiaomi has not yet revealed the list of compatible devices. It has revealed that the ad switching feature will be implemented on all compatible smartphones in the next stable software update. The next stable version of MIUI will be mainly MIUI 11.
Some media reports suggest that Xiaomi will launch MIUI 11 on September 24 in China, which is on the same date that the launch of Mi MIX 4 is expected. The next MIUI 11 is likely to be based on the latest Android 10 of Google.
